THE ADMINISTRATOR

Picture

Maria Ménoret is the co-founder, owner and administrator of ContemplariChristi.

Upon completion of an undergraduate degree in Theology with a concentration in Religious Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1999, Maria’s endeavor to answer the call to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth led her on a journey spanning the course of over a decade of missionary pursuits from northern Mexico, southern Louisiana and Florida, to the mid-Hudson Valley in NY.

Maria employed herself in various ministries including missionary work from northern Mexico, southern Louisiana and Florida, to the mid-Hudson Valley in NY, Director of Youth Ministry, Music Coordinator and guitarist for religious education, secretarial work for various pro-life and Catholic organizations (including The Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, and Catholic to the Max). She has volunteered in catechetical positions with the Missionaries of Charity in both NY and LA, as well as with the Office of Hispanic Ministry of the Diocese of Lafayette, LA.

Taking the model of St. Paul’s tent-making, so that he would not be a burden to anyone, Maria has also pursued employment in nursing, as well as substitute teaching.

Maria’s sensitivity to the heart of the human person, and to our Lord’s Most Sacred Heart inspired her to collaborate with her husband, Antoine-Marie Ménoret, to pursue methods of bringing his paintings more effectively into the public square.

Speaking about the paintings, Maria believes:  "These paintings contain a vibrancy and intimacy which seem to communicate personally to the individuals for whom our Lord intends them. Very often, a person will point out very touching and specific features in the paintings, which my husband, himself, was never aware of having included. This is a communication of heart to heart, the depths of which can only be fathomed between the soul and the Eucharistic Heart of our Lord.”
